ABOUT THE COURSE

Any successful BCMS starts with a comprehensive Business Impact Assessment (BIA). BIA is the backbone of an effective BCMS. This workshop is aimed to take the participant through the BIA methodology and the understanding of critical steps required to conduct BIA in their organizations with immense efficacy. Post this workshop, you would be able to identify and protect critical business functions.

The course is delivered by BIA experts. The BIA theories are clearly explained in an extremely interactive atmosphere with a blend of practical hands-on experience through case study, exercises & lectures. On completion of the course you will be ready to contribute to, and even lead, a BIA activity immediately with confidence back in their respective organization.

The BIA methodology is aligned to ISO 22301:2019.

ABOUT THE COURSE DESIGNER

DHIRAJ LAL

Dhiraj Lal has over 20 years BCM experience and 32 years overall. He is Executive Director, Continuity and Resilience (C&R), which is a 4 time winner of Business Continuity Service Provider of the Year honour awarded by the UK-based Business Continuity Institute.

He has worked with Citibank, Standard Chartered, Agilent and American Express (as the BCM Program Sponsor and Head). He has been invited to present at the BCI Annul conference in the UK, DRI US, BCMI Singapore, itSMF UK, DRI Asia in Malaysia, ISACA UAE,, and also various Crisis, BCM and IT Resilience Summits in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, KSA and India.

Dhiraj Lal is Asia’s first BSI appointed Technical Expert for BS25999 / ISO 22301, and is also a BS25999 / ISO 22301 assessor. He teaches the advanced level certification workshops in BCM and BS25999 / ISO 22301, and also consults in implementation of BCM and BS25999 / ISO 22301.

Understand how to recover critical business functions

Realize the peak period for an activity and managing the same

Identify the key recovery requirements and the minimum resources required for the same

Learn how to collect data, evaluate BIA information, summarize and present the findings to senior management and prepare BIA reports.

Formulate recommendations and next steps to start or enhance a business continuity program
